JAMIT is TIM and AJ. (Clever, uh?)

TIM and AJ met while forming the band Hladish and Brown and played together for several years before branching off on their own. Their new brainchild, JAMIT, was launched with their first gig on New Year’s Eve, 2004.

TIM and AJ have been able to combine their love of funk and groove with a stage presence suitable to any local night scene. With their incredible musicianship and talent they are able to play a multitude of songs to diversified crowds.

Not many people know this, but TIM and AJ are famous!

AJ started playing drums at the tender age of 12 in the grade school drill team, and later in his high school jazz band. Barely out of school, AJ joined LOVE SHINE, along with a friend John Johnson and his twin brother Tyriq. John would later go on to tour with EARTH, WIND, AND FIRE, so AJ had the opportunity to meet the members.

After LOVE SHINE, CRUDE SEDUCTION was formed. CRUDE SEDUCTION presented many great opportunities for AJ. He recorded songs with SEDUCTION at a branch of Motown Records, called Sound Sweet Recording Studio, in Detroit, Michigan. Through SEDUCTION’s travels, AJ also had the opportunity to attend PRINCE’s birthday party and jam with him in Minnesota. Yes, PRINCE, also known as the artist formerly known as Prince!

AJ is a Milwaukee native, where he has also played with THE UNTOUCHABLES and MIRAGE. While AJ was playing with MIRAGE they toured in Japan, Hong Kong, and Korea for over a year, so he has acquired great experiences. He sends out a sincere “Thanks!” to all the musicians that helped him along the way. “You know who you are!”

Timmy B grew up in Illinois and taught himself to play bass and guitar at a young age. Just out of high school, he joined SHADOWFAX and toured mostly cold, northern Wisconsin and Minnesota towns where he became a seasoned road musician.

Tim later formed the band LEATHER TEDDY and played for several years. LT had quite a following back in the day when big hair was a big deal. JADED HEART came later and was fortunate to be endorsed by ENUFF ZNUFF. With the JADED HEART drummer, Davey Laatz, Tim toured extensively with Kurt Hansen, lead singer of HEAD EAST. Davey and Tim even played with HEAD EAST’s original keyboardist, Roger Boyd, in Florida one summer.

Tim says, “A musician always relies on the fans to get them through the years. The more the merrier! Thanks to all those who did and still do stay with us.”

Tim switches from playing his Charvel bass and Fender Stratocaster guitar, to his Carvin double neck, custom-made with both guitar and a bass. And AJ sure likes his new Yamaha electronic drum kit; lots of bells and whistles and things that go, bam!
